About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a remote 2D Artist for AI training work focused on Krita-based illustration, graphics, and simple animation. You will create polished 2D visual assets, project files, and training input that helps AI systems learn artistic workflows and output quality. The role emphasizes practical Krita skill, clear creative communication, and delivering work that matches project requirements and visual standards.

What you will do
- Create 2D illustrations, assets, and graphics in Krita.
- Produce simple 2D animation sequences and project files.
- Use Krita brushes, layers, and vector tools to deliver polished visual work.
- Follow end-to-end workflows to meet requirements and timelines.
- Collaborate through written and verbal communication and provide clear creative feedback.
- Support training and refinement of AI models focused on artistic tasks.
- Align deliverables with customer specifications and creative vision.

Required skills
- Proven experience with Krita, including brushes, layers, and vector functionality.
- Strong portfolio of 2D illustration or graphic design work.
- Ability to create simple 2D animations in Krita.
- Solid understanding of project workflows within Krita.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Basic knowledge of animation principles is preferred.
