  • Remote contractor opportunity
  • Create and manage your AI training profile through OpenTrain
  • Work on specialized data projects connected to cutting-edge AI development

About AI Training Data Work

AI systems learn from examples collected, prepared, and reviewed by people. In this project, screenshots of professional FPGA and digital hardware design software can help create visual training data for AI systems that need to understand complex technical interfaces and workflows.

  • Contribute to the human side of building modern AI
  • Use your technical expertise in a flexible, remote work setting
  • Support data collection involving specialized engineering software

The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking Vivado FPGA Screenshot Contributors with direct experience using FPGA or digital hardware design applications. You will operate Vivado, the AMD/Xilinx application used for FPGA and SoC design, synthesis, timing, and RTL design and verification, and capture screenshots that meet specific resolution requirements.

This opportunity is intended for contributors who can access and operate Vivado directly on a Windows PC. You must use your own available installation or access and have suitable display hardware for high-resolution screenshot capture.

  • Role: Vivado FPGA Screenshot Contributor
  • Work arrangement: Remote contractor
  • Experience level: Entry level listed, with hands-on FPGA experience required
  • Pay: $45 to $55 per hour
  • Languages: English
  • Eligible locations include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and participating European countries

What You’ll Do

You will work with FPGA and digital hardware design application interfaces in Vivado and capture screenshots at more than 2.5 megapixels. Before beginning, you will verify that your computer and display setup meet the project’s technical capture requirements.

  • Use Vivado on a Windows PC
  • Work with FPGA and digital hardware design interfaces
  • Capture screenshots exceeding 2.5 megapixels
  • Use one qualifying high-resolution display or two monitors at 1920 by 1080 or higher
  • Ensure dual monitors span a single captured image when using a two-monitor setup
  • Confirm that your display configuration meets the required resolution before starting

Requirements

This project requires practical experience with FPGA or digital hardware design applications and familiarity with Vivado for AMD/Xilinx FPGA and SoC design, synthesis, or timing. Experience with FPGA or RTL design and verification workflows is also required.

You must have personal access to Vivado and be able to operate it on a Windows PC. Software licenses, virtual machines, and hardware are handled through the standard OpenTrain project defaults, so contributors should be prepared to provide their own application access and computing environment.

  • Hands-on FPGA and digital hardware design experience
  • Practical familiarity with Vivado for AMD/Xilinx FPGA and SoC design, synthesis, or timing
  • Experience with FPGA or RTL design and verification workflows
  • Ability to use Vivado on a Windows PC
  • Personal access to Vivado
  • Access to a display setup exceeding 2.5 megapixels
  • A qualifying high-resolution monitor or dual-monitor arrangement

Helpful Technical Background

Relevant experience may include FPGA design, RTL workflows, SoC development, synthesis, timing analysis, or verification. The key requirement is the ability to access and operate Vivado directly rather than relying on a supplied computing environment.

  • FPGA design
  • RTL design and verification
  • SoC development
  • Synthesis workflows
  • Timing analysis
  • Digital hardware design applications

Schedule and Work Arrangement

This is a remote, part-time contractor opportunity. The structured project requirement is 20 or more hours per week, while the role description lists a default commitment of 40 hours per week. The hourly pay range is $45 to $55.
