About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting a Video Data Annotation Editor to support AI model training through high-quality video data curation and review. You will bring professional editing judgment to video sequences, media metadata, and asset organization, helping create clear and consistent inputs that AI systems can learn from. The role combines Avid Media Composer editing workflows, broadcast and film post-production knowledge, and detailed annotation work.

What you will do
You will annotate and curate video data using Avid Media Composer workflows. You will review, label, and segment video sequences according to project guidelines, add accurate metadata and context, and organize media assets for clarity, consistency, accessibility, and version control. You will apply broadcast and film post-production practices to AI training assignments, record editing decisions, provide written feedback that supports model refinement, and communicate with project managers and technical leads to resolve questions and clarify requirements.

Required skills
Professional experience using Avid Media Composer for video editing is required. You should be familiar with broadcast or film post-production workflows, including media asset management and versioning. Strong organization, attention to detail, and accuracy in annotation and metadata entry are essential, as are clear written and verbal communication skills. Entry- or mid-career experience in video editing or media production is appropriate. Prior AI training experience is not required.

Helpful background
Interest in emerging technologies and willingness to apply video-production expertise to AI-related data projects will help you succeed. Experience managing media and production projects, reviewing detailed guidelines, and documenting editorial decisions is valuable.

Schedule, location, and pay
This is remote contractor work with pay of $15‑$80 per hour.
