About AI Training and Video Annotation

AI training is the human work behind modern artificial intelligence. Contributors review, label, and evaluate examples so machine learning systems can learn from structured, high-quality data. In this project, annotated video helps capture how robotic arms perform assigned tasks and what outcomes occur during each session.

  • Work with visual data from robotic-arm task sessions
  • Support machine learning data preparation and robotics-focused AI training
  • Help improve the consistency and usefulness of datasets used to develop AI systems

The Role

As a Video Annotation Specialist, you will review footage of robotic arms executing assigned tasks, identify important actions and outcomes, and apply detailed grading guidelines. You will use video annotation tools and platforms to record structured observations, submit datasets, and help maintain consistent labeling standards across the project.

This is an expert-level contractor opportunity for candidates with strong visual review skills, careful judgment, and experience in video annotation, data labeling, or similar data-centric projects.

  • Role type: Contractor
  • Location: Remote
  • Expected project duration: 3 to 6 months
  • Hourly rate: $50-$90 USD

What You'll Do

You will work independently on detailed visual data tasks while collaborating with project trainers and other contributors when questions or ambiguities arise. Clear documentation and timely communication will be important throughout the engagement.

  • Review video footage of robotic arms performing assigned tasks
  • Identify key actions and outcomes within video sessions
  • Apply detailed grading guidelines to tag and annotate events accurately
  • Use video annotation tools and platforms to record structured observations
  • Document findings and submit annotated datasets according to project standards and milestones
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and insights through written and verbal channels as required
  • Participate in quality reviews and respond to feedback
  • Collaborate with project trainers and contributors to resolve ambiguities and improve consistency

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

The project requires fluent English proficiency and exceptional accuracy when reviewing and tagging visual data. Candidates should be able to organize their work independently, communicate clearly, and take a proactive approach to resolving annotation challenges.

Experience with video annotation, data labeling, or comparable annotation projects is preferred. A background in AI training, machine learning data preparation, or robotics projects is strongly preferred, along with familiarity with video annotation software platforms.

  • Fluent English proficiency
  • Expert-level experience relevant to the project
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and self-organization for independent project participation
  • Familiarity with video annotation tools and software platforms
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Background in AI training, machine learning data preparation, or robotics projects strongly preferred
  • Must be based in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, France, Russia, New Zealand, or Brazil
