The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a User Research AI Output Evaluator to assess AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks against domain-specific quality expectations. You will draw on professional experience in user or customer research and feedback synthesis to distinguish strong outputs from work that needs improvement.

This is a remote, hourly contractor engagement for 20 or more hours per week. The pay rate is $80-$120 per hour, and the work is available worldwide.

What You'll Do

You will review written and visual business artifacts using established quality rubrics and provide precise, structured feedback. Your assessments should explain what is working, identify meaningful issues, and support reliable quality decisions across outputs.

• Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks against domain-specific rubrics.
• Assess accuracy, rigor, factual correctness, aesthetic quality, and presentation effectiveness.
• Identify factual, visual, and presentation errors that could reduce the quality of an AI-generated work product.
• Provide clear, organized written feedback that explains issues and supports consistent evaluations.
• Apply user and customer research expertise to assess feedback synthesis and overall output quality.

Requirements

Applicants should bring substantial professional experience in user or customer research and feedback synthesis, along with the ability to assess business artifacts carefully and communicate findings in polished written English.

• At least five years of relevant professional experience in user or customer research and feedback synthesis.
• Native or professional fluency in English.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong proficiency with Google Slides or PowerPoint.
• Ability to evaluate written and visual business artifacts for accuracy, rigor, and quality.
• Ability to identify factual, aesthetic, and presentation errors against quality standards.
• Ability to communicate findings through precise, organized written feedback.

Helpful Background

An advanced degree, such as a master's degree or higher, from a reputable institution is welcome. The most important qualifications are the stated research experience, artifact-review judgment, and ability to deliver clear written evaluations.
