The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an intermediate TypeScript Code Review Engineer for AI training work. You will review AI-generated TypeScript code snippets and technical explanations, apply project rubrics, and provide clear evidence-based feedback.

Prior AI training or data annotation experience is a plus but is not required. Strong real-world knowledge of TypeScript code review and the ability to follow detailed project instructions are the most important qualifications.

What You'll Do

You will assess model outputs consistently and document the reasoning behind your judgments. Your written feedback should be clear enough to help improve model behavior while remaining aligned with project guidelines.

• Evaluate AI-generated TypeScript code and technical explanations
• Review source materials and model outputs against project guidelines
• Assess code for correctness, readability, and type safety
• Apply project rubrics and document evidence-based judgments
• Explain technical judgments clearly in written feedback
• Maintain consistency and quality across repeated review tasks

Requirements

Applicants should have relevant professional, academic, or language expertise in TypeScript Code Review. The role requires strong written English communication, careful attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on remote contractor tasks.

• Advanced TypeScript type manipulation, generics, interfaces, and utility types
• Experience reviewing TypeScript code for correctness, readability, and type safety
• Knowledge of React, Angular, Vue.js, or Node.js application structure
• Familiarity with Git branching, merging, pull requests, and modern build tooling
• Fluency in English
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply rubrics consistently
• Prior AI data training or annotation experience is a plus
