About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human work that teaches models how to understand and generate language and speech. Contributors provide recordings, transcriptions, and quality review that shape how speech systems perform.

This work is typically 100% remote, flexible, and accessible: many projects need strong language skills and attention to detail rather than years of prior experience.

The Role

You will record, transcribe, annotate, and review Turkish audio to support speech model development. The role emphasizes accuracy, consistent phonetic judgment, and high-quality language data.

This is a part-time contractor role requiring about 20+ hours per week. Work is remote and open worldwide; compensation is hourly, paid in USD (see pay details below).

What You’ll Do

• Record Turkish audio samples following provided linguistic and recording guidelines.
• Transcribe spoken Turkish with high accuracy and consistent formatting.
• Annotate audio for pronunciation, phonetic clarity, and natural language flow.
• Review clips for quality, flagging pronunciation issues or unclear recordings.
• Maintain data integrity by following labeling rules and reporting inconsistencies.
• Communicate findings, issues, and suggested improvements clearly in written form.

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in Turkish (required).
• Strong judgment of pronunciation and phonetics.
• Experience or comfort with audio recording, transcription, and annotation.
• Attention to detail and consistent written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and reliably as a remote contractor.
• Familiarity with AI workflows and basic data processing is helpful but not required.

Helpful Background

• Experience in audio engineering, voice acting, podcasting, or music production.
• Prior work in linguistic annotation, speech technology, or phonetics.
• Technical familiarity with microphones, audio software, and recording best practices.

Compensation & Work Details

This role is paid per hour in USD. Compensation range is typically $10–$40 per hour, with top pay up to $40/hr as specified in the project listing.

You will work on audio data labeled as TRANSCRIPTION and AUDIO_RECORDING. Projects include clear guidelines and quality checks; contractors are expected to meet accuracy and formatting standards.
