The role
Micro1 is hiring a Turkish Audio Transcription and Speech Data Specialist (contractor, part-time) to record, transcribe, and evaluate Turkish speech data used to train AI models. This role emphasizes accurate transcription, phonetic clarity, and consistent annotation to ensure high-quality language datasets.

What you'll do
You will create and curate Turkish speech data following strict linguistic guidelines and quality standards. Expect a mix of recording, careful transcription, evaluation for pronunciation and clarity, and collaboration with the project team to maintain dataset integrity.
- Record high-quality Turkish audio samples according to project guidelines.
- Transcribe and annotate audio with accurate, consistent written Turkish.
- Evaluate clips for phonetic clarity, natural flow, and pronunciation accuracy.
- Participate in speech data collection initiatives and provide feedback.
- Troubleshoot recording or annotation issues and suggest improvements.
- Document findings and communicate issues clearly in written and verbal form.
Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate strong Turkish language and audio skills and be able to work independently to deliver precise, consistent results. All required qualifications are listed below and reflect the role’s emphasis on linguistic accuracy and remote reliability.
- Native or near-native fluency in Turkish with exceptional pronunciation and phonetics knowledge.
- Proven skills in audio recording, transcription, and annotation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to clarity and accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and sensitivity to linguistic nuance.
- Ability to work remotely and maintain consistent quality on a contractual schedule.
- Willingness to learn AI workflows and data processing requirements.

Preferred experience & how to apply
Preferred but not required: background as an audio engineer, voice actor, podcaster, musician, or prior involvement in linguistic annotation or speech-technology projects. Familiarity with audio recording equipment and common software is a plus.
