About AI Evaluation Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Experts review generated content, test workflows, and judge whether AI outputs are accurate, useful, and aligned with real-world professional standards.

In this role, your travel and event knowledge will help refine large language model applications that support planning, hospitality, logistics, and event operations.

  • Remote work with a computer, reliable equipment, and high-speed internet
  • Flexible contractor and part-time opportunity
  • 20+ hours per week
  • Work available worldwide
  • English-language role

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Travel and Event AI Evaluation Expert to assess AI-generated tools and outputs for travel planning, event management, and hospitality workflows. You will apply professional judgment to complex operational details, including multi-city itineraries, vendor budgets, milestone payments, guest RSVPs, shared-cost allocation, and spreadsheet logic.

The role is listed as entry level, while the requirements call for at least four years of relevant experience in travel planning, event or meeting coordination, agency operations, or hospitality management.

  • Contractor, part-time position
  • 20+ hours per week
  • Worldwide remote opportunity
  • Professional English communication required

What You'll Do

You will define planning parameters, validate source materials, test operational logic, and review AI-generated outputs against standards used in professional travel agencies, destination management, and event execution.

  • Define routes, party sizes, vendor scopes, budget ceilings, and operational guardrails
  • Validate booking confirmations, vendor quotes, guest lists, and related context materials
  • Verify itinerary logic, milestone payment dates, and cost-splitting formulas
  • Review contingency structures and validation controls in planning and tracking tools
  • Approve AI-generated outputs against professional travel and event standards
  • Translate complex event workflows into clear spreadsheet formulas and validation structures
  • Model granular cost drivers and per-person cost splits
  • Establish financial and operational guardrails, including approximately 10% to 15% contingency buffers

Requirements

You should have practical experience managing or coordinating travel, events, meetings, agency operations, or hospitality workflows. Strong reasoning and concise professional writing are important because the work involves explaining decisions and evaluating detailed AI outputs.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is welcome. Previous AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or related analytical experience can be helpful but is not required.

  • At least four years of relevant experience in travel planning, event or meeting coordination, agency operations, or hospitality management
  • Hands-on knowledge of multi-city itinerary planning
  • Experience tracking vendor deposits and balance payments
  • Practical knowledge of guest RSVP workflows
  • Ability to create or evaluate shared-cost allocation formulas
  • Strong written English and professional communication
  • Analytical reasoning and sound professional judgment
  • Ability to translate operational requirements into spreadsheet formulas and validation structures
  • Reliable desktop or laptop equipment
  • Stable, high-speed internet connection

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is suited to professionals who understand how travel and event plans work in practice and can identify when an AI-generated recommendation, budget, formula, or workflow is incomplete or unrealistic. Your experience may come from travel planning, event coordination, meeting management, agency operations, or hospitality management.

You do not need prior AI training experience to apply. Careful review, clear communication, and strong operational knowledge are the foundation for this work.

  • Travel planners and destination management professionals
  • Event and meeting coordinators
  • Hospitality operations professionals
  • Agency operations specialists
  • Professionals comfortable reviewing budgets, schedules, formulas, and workflow controls
