The Role

OpenTrain AI is hiring a Third-Person Video Data Collector to capture naturalistic video across indoor, outdoor, and in-vehicle settings. You will record continuous clips while performing everyday activities and submit files that meet project requirements for duration, framing, resolution, and overall quality.

Prior AI training experience is not required. The role requires access to suitable equipment, safe mounting methods, and the ability to follow detailed collection and safety instructions consistently.

What You'll Do

• Capture continuous video clips of at least 60 seconds during everyday activities.
• Record in indoor, outdoor, and in-vehicle environments.
• Use a compatible 360-degree or wide-angle camera with at least a 170-degree field of view and 720p resolution.
• Maintain a stable third-person perspective showing your full body and the surrounding environment.
• Use secure backpack, harness, or vehicle mounting solutions as appropriate.
• Follow camera placement, activity-selection, recording, and safety instructions.
• Organize and submit video files according to project specifications.
• Check that recordings meet required duration, resolution, framing, and quality standards.
• Communicate clearly about progress, questions, and technical issues.
• Adapt to updates in collection tasks or project requirements.

• Own or have access to a compatible action or 360-degree camera.
• Use equipment capable of at least a 170-degree field of view and 720p resolution.
• Create stable third-person recordings that keep your full body and surroundings visible.
• Understand how to use backpack, harness, or vehicle mounting safely.
• Follow detailed recording, activity-selection, and safety instructions.
• Have relevant experience with video recording, action cameras, or 360-degree cameras.
