The role

Micro1 is recruiting a remote Thai Transcription and Captioning Specialist to review machine-generated Thai transcriptions, create high-quality spoken recordings of finalized transcriptions, and evaluate caption/audio materials. This contractor, part-time role centers on language accuracy, natural vocal delivery, and careful verification of audio and text content.

What you'll do

You will improve Thai speech training data by correcting and verifying text and producing clear voice recordings according to project guidelines.

• Review and correct machine-generated Thai transcriptions for accuracy and context.
• Record finalized Thai transcriptions in a clear, natural voice using a quiet environment and quality equipment.
• Produce captioning and time-aligned text when required by project specs.
• Verify audio, written, and captioned materials for consistency and quality.
• Provide feedback to the project team to help improve transcription processes and instructions.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the core language, equipment, and work-style requirements listed below. These requirements come directly from the project brief and are essential for producing high-quality speech data.

• Fluent Thai with strong pronunciation and clear diction.
• Verbal and written communication skills in Thai and English.
• Experience with voice acting, transcription, captioning, or related AI language work (preferred but entry-level-friendly).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
• Access to a quiet recording space, quality audio equipment (microphone, headphones), and basic recording software.

Compensation, tools, and next steps

This is an hourly contractor role paid per hour. Pay is listed as $15–$30 USD per hour. You will be expected to track hours and follow project reporting practices as required by the contractor agreement.

Labeling work centers on audio: transcription, audio recording, and evaluation/rating. The project uses other/third-party labeling software as specified by the team; you will receive instructions and guidelines during onboarding.
