About This Project

You will support a speech-data collection project for OpenTrain that supplies real-world Tamil audio for training speech models. The work combines recording, transcription, annotation, and quality review to ensure the dataset meets strong linguistic and audio standards.

The Role — What You'll Do

You will collect and curate Tamil speech data that helps train next-generation voice and language models. Tasks are clearly defined and follow structured AI workflows; attention to consistency and audio clarity is essential.

• Record high-quality Tamil audio with clear pronunciation and low background noise
• Transcribe and annotate speech data accurately following project guidelines
• Evaluate audio and transcription quality and submit feedback for improvements
• Organize collected files, maintain documentation, and support QA checks

Compensation & Work Details

This project pays on an hourly basis. The published hourly rate goes up to $35/hr; the posting metadata lists an hourly range of $6–$35 and a PAY_PER_HOUR payment type. You will be engaged as a contractor and manage your own schedule within the 20+ hours/week expectation.
