The Sports Domain Reviewer Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Sports Domain Reviewer to support quality assurance for language model evaluation projects. You will use your knowledge of global sports to review domain-specific prompts and assess AI-generated responses for factual accuracy, consistency, reasoning quality, completeness, and adherence to established guidelines.

What You'll Do

You will review sports-focused evaluation tasks and help maintain reliable quality standards across the project. Your feedback should be accurate, evidence-based, constructive, and consistent.

  • Review prompts covering global sports leagues, athletes, tournaments, rules, statistics, and history
  • Evaluate completed AI-generated tasks for factual accuracy, reasoning quality, and completeness
  • Identify hallucinations, logical inconsistencies, outdated information, and low-quality annotations
  • Provide constructive, evidence-based feedback to contributors
  • Collaborate with project managers and AI teams to improve evaluation quality
  • Follow established quality standards to maintain consistency across reviews

Required Qualifications

This opportunity requires substantial sports knowledge, strong written English, and the ability to research and assess information carefully. A master's degree or higher is required, with sports-related disciplines preferred.

  • Master's degree or higher in any field; sports-related disciplines preferred
  • Strong knowledge of major sports, leagues, teams, athletes, and statistics
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in sports journalism, media, content, research, or analysis
  • Excellent written English
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to assess sports information accurately
  • Ability to identify factual inaccuracies, hallucinations, and inconsistencies in text

Preferred Background

Experience with AI evaluation or editorial quality workflows can help you succeed in this role, although the core requirement is the ability to apply sports expertise accurately and consistently.
