About AI Training Work

AI training (data labeling/annotation) is the human work behind modern AI: people prepare and review examples that help models learn. This role sits at the intersection of web development and annotation—your code skills will help shape how web-focused AI systems understand real sites and UI elements.

The Role

We are hiring skilled frontend developers who are native Spanish speakers to perform web-focused AI data labeling and code editing. You will analyze website screenshots and HTML/CSS/JS, create detailed annotations and question-and-answer pairs, and produce code corrections or improvements to meet specified requirements.

This is an ongoing contract, part-time role with a required minimum commitment of 15 hours per week (preference for candidates who can offer 25+ hours). The project starts August 12 and requires immediate availability. Compensation is $8.82 USD per hour. A coding skills test is required as part of screening.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze website screenshots and page structure to identify elements, errors, and improvement opportunities.
  • Create precise, high-quality annotations and metadata describing web elements, attributes, and behaviors.
  • Write clear question-and-answer pairs that describe UI intent, usability issues, or expected behavior.
  • Edit and improve HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code snippets to meet project specifications and demonstrate fixes.
  • Report edge cases, ambiguous UI states, and reproducible issues with examples and suggested solutions.
  • Follow project labeling guidelines and use the provided annotation tool ().

Requirements

  • Native Spanish speaker with excellent written comprehension of Spanish (language tasks are language-specific).
  • At least 2 years of professional experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of web design and page structure, with practical troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical mindset and the ability to produce consistent, high-quality annotations.
  • Comfortable editing and improving front-end code (HTML/CSS/JS) and explaining changes clearly.
  • Available to commit a minimum of 15 hours per week, with a preference for candidates who can offer 25+ hours.
  • Available to start on August 12 and able to join immediately.
  • Will complete a coding skills test during screening.
  • Previous experience in AI training/data labeling platforms (Scale AI, OpenTrain, Appen, etc.) is highly preferred.

Who Should Apply

This role is a great fit for frontend developers who want flexible, remote contract work that directly contributes to training AI systems. Ideal applicants are comfortable switching between hands-on coding and meticulous annotation, enjoy solving UI problems, and can clearly document code edits and rationale.

How To Apply

Create or sign in to your OpenTrain account and submit an application for this project. In your application, include:

1) A brief summary of your experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (please state years of experience for each), 2) confirmation that you are a native Spanish speaker, 3) typical weekly availability (hours/week) and earliest start date, and 4) examples or a portfolio link showing web work if available. Be prepared to take a coding skills test as part of screening.

  • Contract type: Contractor, Part-time. Work is remote and worldwide.
  • Pay: $8.82 USD per hour. Project is ongoing with an immediate start date of Aug 12.
  • Labeling focus: computer programming / coding annotations based on website screenshots.
