About AI training and this work
AI training (data labeling, annotation, and human feedback work) is the human layer behind modern AI: people create, evaluate, and refine the examples that models learn from. This work is often 100% remote, flexible, and accessible to experienced communicators.
In this role you'll work at the intersection of social strategy and generative AI — directly improving how models write for platforms, follow briefs, and handle safety and factuality.
The role
As a Social Media AI Training Expert you will evaluate AI-generated social content and strategy outputs, write gold-standard social posts and strategy notes, and provide precise feedback that helps models improve. You will rate responses for clarity, brand voice, platform fit, prompt adherence, CTA effectiveness, compliance risk, and community safety.
The role includes occasional fact-checking and producing model outputs (posts, threads, scripts, calendars) that demonstrate strong, platform-native social writing. Labeling work includes RLHF, evaluation/rating, and text-generation tasks.
What you'll do day-to-day
Review AI-generated social content, strategy outputs, and related model responses for quality and fit
Create expert social deliverables: posts, threads, short scripts, content calendars, and concise strategy notes
Evaluate hooks, structure, messaging, CTA effectiveness, and adherence to prompts or briefs
Identify issues in brand voice, audience fit, platform-specific execution, safety, and misleading claims
Rank and compare multiple model responses based on effectiveness and correctness
Write clear, actionable feedback and example outputs that teach models better social-first writing
Requirements
This is an intermediate contractor role that requires strong professional social media experience and excellent written communication. Preserve the following mandatory qualifications exactly as listed.
5+ years of professional social media experience for brands (in-house or agency)
Strong understanding of platform mechanics and best practices across major social channels
Ability to craft platform-native hooks, captions, CTAs, and concise storytelling
Experience with content operations, creative briefs, and approvals workflows
Strong analytics instincts: able to read reach, watch time, CTR, saves, shares, and ROAS basics
Minimum C1 English proficiency with excellent written editing skills
Prior experience with AI data training, editorial QA, or content review workflows is strongly preferred
Helpful background
These additional experiences make you especially competitive but are not required: marketing, communications, or journalism education; hands-on experience with brand safety, misleading-claim detection, sensitive-topic handling; familiarity with content calendars, creative testing, and collaboration with design or video teams.
