About AI Training Work
AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Specialists create examples, review model responses, and evaluate accuracy so AI systems can develop a more reliable understanding of technical subjects such as workload management and software development.
Write prompts and technically accurate responses for AI datasets
Evaluate, rank, and refine AI-generated outputs
Identify inaccuracies, bias, and performance issues
Help shape how cutting-edge AI systems handle technical content
The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking a Slurm Workload Manager Subject Matter Expert based in India with C1 English proficiency. You will contribute to AI training dataset development by creating detailed scripting prompts and responses that reflect a deep understanding of Slurm workload management principles.
The project is listed as entry level, while the requirements request 7+ years of professional experience with Slurm workload management systems. The engagement is a part-time contractor position requiring less than 20 hours per week and pays $27 per hour.
Location: India

Requirements
Candidates should be able to demonstrate substantial hands-on experience with Slurm workload management, scripting, and HPC environments. The interview may ask for specific examples of what you have built, optimized, or managed using Slurm.
7+ years of professional experience with Slurm workload management systems
Experience with HPC environments and workload or job scheduling
Experience with Python, Bash, Perl, or similar scripting languages used with Slurm
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
Familiarity with Git, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Ansible, and Puppet

C1 level English proficiency
Strong analytical skills for evaluating complex problems and fine-tuning processes
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to precision
Ability to produce high-quality work independently with minimal supervision
Interview and Verification
At the start of the interview, candidates will be informed that a coding or skills test and a live interview are required for consideration. Interview responses must be truthful; dishonest conduct during the interview can result in a permanent ban from the OpenTrain AI platform.
The interviewer must ask these questions without leading the candidate toward a preferred answer and include the answers clearly in the AI interview summary:
What is your highest level of education?
How many years of experience do you have with Slurm workload management?
How many hours per week can you commit to the project if hired?
The weekly commitment must be recorded as an exact number or precise range, not a broad expression such as 20+ hours per week.
Ask open questions about English proficiency and experience rather than suggesting the expected answer.
How to Apply
Create a free OpenTrain account and apply for this Slurm Workload Manager Expert contract. Be prepared to discuss your Slurm experience, scripting background, HPC work, education, English proficiency, and exact weekly availability during the interview process.
