The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Slurm Workload Manager Subject Matter Expert based in India with C1 English proficiency. You will contribute to AI training dataset development by creating detailed scripting prompts and responses that reflect a deep understanding of Slurm workload management principles.

What You’ll Do

You will apply practical Slurm and high-performance computing knowledge to produce precise training material and assess the quality of AI-generated content. Success requires strong analysis, careful documentation, and consistent attention to technical detail.

• Develop detailed prompts involving Slurm scripting and workload management
• Write accurate responses that guide AI learning
• Evaluate and rank AI-generated answers
• Refine outputs to improve their quality and usefulness
• Identify model bias, inaccuracies, and misunderstandings
• Explain complex technical concepts clearly and precisely
• Work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently

Requirements

Candidates should be able to demonstrate substantial hands-on experience with Slurm workload management, scripting, and HPC environments. The interview may ask for specific examples of what you have built, optimized, or managed using Slurm.

• 7+ years of professional experience with Slurm workload management systems
• Experience with HPC environments and workload or job scheduling
• Experience with Python, Bash, Perl, or similar scripting languages used with Slurm
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with Git, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Ansible, and Puppet
• Located in India
• C1 level English proficiency
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating complex problems and fine-tuning processes

• Ability to produce high-quality work independently with minimal supervision
