About AI Training Work

The Role

You will record high-quality Singaporean English audio, transcribe and annotate recordings, review AI-generated audio and transcripts for naturalness, and help refine data collection processes. This contractor role is part-time and requires a minimum commitment of 20+ hours per week.

Work is remote and open to contributors worldwide, but you must be a native-level Singaporean English speaker who understands local pronunciation, slang, and linguistic nuance.

What You'll Do

Day-to-day tasks focus on producing and validating high-quality language data used to train and evaluate speech and language models.

• Record Singaporean English audio samples following project scripts and quality guidelines
• Transcribe and annotate audio with accurate punctuation, speaker labels, and timestamps as required
• Review AI-generated audio and transcripts for naturalness, pronunciation, and local idioms
• Validate and rate model outputs for correctness and fluency
• Document completed work, report issues, and suggest improvements to workflows and protocols

Requirements

Candidates must meet the core linguistic and practical requirements below. These are mandatory for the role.

• Native-level Singaporean English fluency with awareness of local pronunciation, slang, and nuance
• Experience in audio transcription, annotation, or equivalent data collection work
• Familiarity with phonetics and linguistic analysis
• Ability to review audio and transcripts for accuracy and naturalness
• Comfort using digital recording tools (or willingness to learn) and working remotely
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work independently

Helpful Background

• Professional audio experience (voice acting, podcasting, audio engineering, music)
• Academic or practical background in linguistics, phonetics, or language education

How It Works / Apply

This is a remote, part-time contractor role. Pay is hourly (range shown above) and is set per project. All work, feedback, and task documentation is coordinated through OpenTrain.
