OpenTrain AI is the #1 platform for building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help people discover projects, build a unified portfolio, and grow into durable freelance careers working on the human side of AI.
We hire and contract directly for training work across many domains. This role is for OpenTrain AI — you'll join a team shaping how marketing-focused models behave while earning competitive hourly pay on a flexible schedule.
Why AI training matters (brief)
AI training is the human work behind modern models: people create, review, and rate examples so models learn useful, safe behaviors. Contributors often work remotely, choose flexible hours, and influence how AI performs in the real world.
This role sits at the intersection of SEO, analytics, and model evaluation — your expertise will directly improve how AI handles search intent, content strategy, technical SEO logic, and marketing reasoning.
The role
OpenTrain AI is recruiting an expert SEO and digital marketing AI Trainer to evaluate AI-generated marketing outputs, produce gold-standard content and prompts, and improve model reasoning quality. This is a contractor, part-time role requiring 20+ hours/week.
You will work on rating and comparing model responses, testing outputs for accuracy and compliance risks, and creating expert deliverables such as content briefs, strategy notes, and optimizations.
Contract type: Contractor, Part-time
Time requirement: 20+ hours/week
Payment: Pay-per-hour, USD $30–$65/hr (hourlyRate up to $65)
What you'll do (day-to-day)
Your core work will combine evaluation, expert content creation, and prompt development to guide model behavior and improve output quality.
Review AI-generated SEO and marketing responses for accuracy, clarity, brand fit, and prompt adherence
Identify issues in search intent alignment, keyword strategy, on-page SEO, technical SEO logic, and content structure
Fact-check claims and flag risky or unsupported marketing statements
Rate and compare model responses on effectiveness, reasoning quality, and practical applicability
Create expert-level SEO and digital marketing materials: content briefs, strategy notes, optimizations, and analyses
Test outputs for inaccuracies, compliance pitfalls, and bias and help improve model integrity
Develop prompts and gold-standard examples for SFT/RLHF and evaluation tasks
Required qualifications
Bring proven, hands-on expertise in SEO and digital marketing; the role demands senior-level knowledge and a meticulous approach to evaluation and writing.
5+ years professional SEO and/or digital marketing experience (in-house, agency, or consultancy)
Strong command of SEO fundamentals: keyword research, intent mapping, information architecture, internal linking, content briefs, and SERP analysis
Working knowledge of technical SEO including crawl/indexation, canonicalization, redirects, sitemaps, Core Web Vitals basics, and schema
Analytics experience with GA4, Search Console, dashboards, experiment design, and attribution caveats
Ability to evaluate writing and strategy for clarity, structure, persuasion, and brand voice
Minimum English C1 proficiency and strong attention to detail
Previous experience with AI data training, editorial QA, content ops, or performance marketing review is strongly preferred
Preferred skills and tools
You do not need to be tied to a specific SEO toolset; the emphasis is on strategic and practical SEO judgment and the ability to turn that expertise into clear evaluation criteria and gold-standard content.
Experience producing content briefs, intent maps, or SEO strategy docs
Familiarity with hands-on keyword research and intent mapping workflows
Comfort writing concise, expert-level feedback and model prompts
