The work
You will provide specialized feedback used to train and improve AI systems. Your work will focus on non-destructive testing inspection materials and code-based decisions.
You will work independently and collaborate asynchronously with technical peers when indications are complex or unclear. Clear technical reports, objective evaluations, and quality-focused judgment are central to the role.
- Analyze radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing, and phased-array inspection results.
- Evaluate magnetic particle and penetrant indications, weld flaws, and component conditions.
- Review inspection data and recommend dispositions using applicable code-based acceptance criteria.
- Assess thermographic imagery or remote visual inspection footage when assigned.
- Explain findings, reasoning, and recommended actions in clear technical reports.
- Help improve evaluation protocols using industry practices and changing compliance requirements.
What it pays and takes
This is a remote, part-time contractor engagement for professionals based in the United States. English is required, and the expected commitment is 20 or more hours per week.

- Certification: Active ASNT or ISO 9712 NDT Level II or Level III certification in relevant methods, such as RT, UT or PAUT, MT, or PT.
- Experience: At least eight years interpreting radiographs, ultrasonic or phased-array scans, MT or PT indications, and related NDT data.
- Relevant background: Oil and gas, petrochemical, or power-sector inspection work.
- Standards knowledge: ASME Sections V, VIII, and XI; API 510, 570, 653, and 1104; and AWS D1.1.
- Technical judgment: Ability to make accept or reject decisions using code-based weld defect criteria.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication and detailed technical documentation skills.
- Helpful experience: Evaluating thermography or remote visual inspection data.
