The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting a Russian AI Safety Evaluator to assess how advanced AI models respond to sensitive and dual-use topics. You will create expert-level prompts in Russian, evaluate prompts and conversations, apply structured classification guidelines, and explain the reasoning behind your decisions.
This is remote, part-time contractor work with a default commitment of 7 hours per week. Eastern Europe is preferred, but applicants based elsewhere are welcome.
Pay: $38-$42 per hour

What You'll Do
You will review written AI interactions and make consistent, well-reasoned decisions using project guidelines. The work requires close attention to wording, context, cultural nuance, and potential safety implications.
Write expert-level prompts in Russian across sensitive subject areas
Evaluate model prompts and conversations
Classify prompts and conversations using structured guidelines
Identify adversarial phrasing and escalation patterns
Assess sensitive model behavior using Russian language fluency and cultural judgment
Document the reasoning behind evaluation decisions
Recognize sensitive or dual-use risks in written content
Requirements
Prior AI or machine learning experience is not required, and workflow training is provided. You should be comfortable working carefully with sensitive information and explaining your decisions in clear written English.
Native or near-native fluency in Russian
Business-level written English
Ability to write expert-level Russian prompts
Ability to classify prompts and conversations using structured guidelines
Strong written reasoning
Close attention to detail
Sound judgment with sensitive and dual-use information
Bachelor's degree completed or in progress
