You will review recorded video sessions of robotic arms performing complex industrial tasks. Using project guidelines, you will assess each session and create detailed annotations that help train AI systems to understand machine behavior.
The work calls for careful judgment about movement, failure modes, and inefficient operation. You will work independently, while raising unclear guidelines or ambiguous footage with project coordinators.
- Review complete video sessions showing robotic arms executing industrial tasks.
- Tag, classify, grade, and comment on each session using the provided guidelines.
- Identify and document mechanical or control problems visible in the footage.
- Use knowledge of machine movement and failure modes to assess likely causes of poor performance.
- Deliver accurate, consistent annotations that meet project standards and timelines.
What It Pays and Takes
This is a remote, asynchronous contractor role listed as entry level, with a professional background in mechatronics engineering or a closely related discipline required. Prior video annotation, robotics, industrial automation, AI training, or machine learning experience can strengthen your application.
- Pay: $50 to $90 per hour.
- Time: 20 or more hours per week.
- Location: Open to candidates in Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Switzerland, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Greece, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, and the United States.
- Language: English.
- Work arrangement: Remote, asynchronous contractor work.
- Required: Professional experience in mechatronics engineering or a closely related field.
- Required: Ability to interpret robotic movement and diagnose mechanical or control problems in complex machinery.
- Required: Strong attention to detail and a record of accurate technical work.
- Preferred: Experience with video annotation or data labeling for robotics or industrial automation.
- Preferred: Experience supporting AI training or machine learning projects.
- Preferred: Experience analyzing machine failures, evaluating robotic or industrial automation systems, and applying structured quality guidelines.
- You should be able to work autonomously while meeting project standards and timelines.

About AI Training Work
AI training work is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People review videos, images, text, and other data so AI systems can learn to recognize patterns and respond more reliably. Technical specialists are paid for applying expert judgment to complex examples, such as robotic movement and machine failures.
