About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help professionals discover specialized projects, build a credible AI training profile, and apply in minutes through one free account.

As an OpenTrain contractor, you will use your professional judgment to help improve how AI systems perform on realistic workplace tasks.

About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People with real-world expertise review AI-generated work, evaluate whether responses meet requirements, and identify inaccuracies that models need to learn to avoid.

This role is part of a fast-growing field where subject-matter professionals can contribute remotely and help shape the quality and reliability of modern AI systems.

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Retail and Pharmacy Practice AI Reviewer to evaluate completed AI-generated work through the lens of real-world retail, pharmacy, investigative, management, and retail-supervision practice. You will assess the finished output rather than perform the underlying task.

Your reviews will determine whether simulated assignments are realistic, whether professional content and figures are accurate, whether requirements were met, and whether an AI-generated score is defensible.

  • Remote contract work for candidates located in the United States
  • Default commitment of about 10 hours per week
  • Compensation of $55-$65 per hour
  • Part-time contractor engagement

What You'll Do

You will inspect task instructions, completed work, produced files, and grader scorecards. Your evaluations should be grounded in practical professional standards and supported by concise written reasoning.

The work may involve reviewing reports, inventory records, spreadsheets, PDF files, and other simulated professional outputs.

  • Decide whether a simulated task reflects work that genuinely arises in your professional field
  • Check standards, terminology, regulations, figures, constraints, formats, and requirements for accuracy and consistency
  • Examine grading questions and explain where the grading does or does not hold up
  • Assign your own quality band and assess whether a practitioner could use or accept the work
  • Compare your judgment with the reported AI-generated score
  • Write concise reasons for each evaluation
  • Reconcile figures across spreadsheets or PDF documents

Required Professional Experience

You must have current professional experience in at least one relevant practice area: retail pharmacy, private investigation, store or multi-site operations, or first-line retail sales supervision.

Pharmacists must hold an active U.S. pharmacist license and have at least four years of community or retail dispensing and counseling experience. Private detectives and investigators must meet applicable state licensing requirements and have at least four years of independent casework and report writing.

General and operations managers must have at least five years of store or multi-site P&L, staffing, and inventory responsibility. First-line retail sales supervisors must have at least four years of experience supervising sales-floor schedules and shrink.

  • Professional judgment in retail pharmacy, private investigation, store operations, or first-line retail sales supervision
  • Ability to identify inaccurate standards, terminology, figures, regulations, or operational constraints
  • Experience evaluating whether reports, inventory records, or other professional outputs are realistic and usable
  • Ability to reconcile figures in spreadsheets or PDF files
  • Near-native business English
  • Ability to provide concise written reasoning for each judgment

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is suited to experienced practitioners who can recognize whether professional work is accurate, realistic, and usable without completing the underlying assignment themselves. It may be a strong fit for licensed pharmacists, investigators, operations managers, and retail sales supervisors who want to apply their expertise to AI development.

You should be comfortable assessing detailed documents, checking numerical consistency, and explaining your decisions clearly in business English.

Schedule and Application

This role is available to U.S.-based candidates for less than 20 hours per week, with a default commitment of about 10 hours weekly. Compensation is $55-$65 per hour.
