About AI Training Work
AI training is the human side of building intelligent systems: people annotate, evaluate, correct, and write examples so models learn useful, safe behavior. For code-focused roles, that means reviewing model outputs, writing reference solutions, and judging technical correctness and clarity.
This role sits at the intersection of mobile engineering and AI evaluation — you will help determine which AI-generated solutions are safe, performant, and production-ready.
The Role
OpenTrain AI is hiring a React Native AI Code Reviewer to evaluate AI-generated React Native code, mobile app architectures, and technical explanations. You will produce high-quality reference implementations and step-by-step reasoning for complex engineering problems.
This is a contractor, part-time role paying $100 USD per hour. Expect 20+ hours per week. Work is remote but restricted to the listed eligible countries; English fluency is required.
Employment type: Contractor, Part-time
Hours: 20+ hours/week
Pay: $100 USD per hour
Languages: English
Eligible countries: BD, BT, BR, KH, DE, IN, ID, MY, NP, PK, SG, LK, TH, PH, US, TL, VN
What You'll Do
Evaluate AI model outputs and compare multiple responses to identify the strongest solution, focusing on correctness, clarity, security, performance, and reliability.
Review AI-generated React Native solutions for correctness and best practices
Write reference implementations and clear technical explanations for complex mobile engineering tasks
Evaluate model answers for security, performance, reliability, and reasoning quality
Fact-check technical claims related to React Native, TypeScript, mobile architecture, and platform-specific behavior
Identify weaknesses in rendering, navigation, native modules, offline behavior, and release workflows
Required Skills
You must be able to assess real code, reproduce issues, and explain findings clearly in English. The role requires hands-on mobile debugging and strong TypeScript experience.
Strong hands-on experience with React Native and modern React
Deep proficiency in TypeScript and mobile app debugging on iOS and Android
Familiarity with navigation, native modules, performance tuning, testing, and CI/CD basics
Ability to write clear technical explanations in English
Experience reviewing rendering, state, navigation, and native-module integration
Ability to evaluate performance, reliability, and release issues in mobile apps
Familiarity with AI-generated React Native code review
Helpful Background
The following are not required but will help you succeed and move faster in review tasks.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field
Experience building production mobile apps
Familiarity with Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, Appium, CocoaPods, and Gradle
Prior AI data training, annotation, or evaluation experience is a plus
How This Work Is Organized
On OpenTrain you will accept short to medium tasks that involve rating model responses and producing model-aligned reference solutions. Tasks may require running or reading apps, reproducing bugs, and writing step-by-step reasoning.
You will perform evaluation ratings and prompt-response writing (SFT-style) tasks that directly influence how AI systems are trained and judged. Work is remote and flexible within the listed hours; build your profile with completed work to qualify for more projects.
How To Apply
If you meet the requirements, apply through your OpenTrain profile. Include examples of React Native work and brief notes about debugging experience on both iOS and Android.
OpenTrain uses your profile and past task history to match you to evaluation projects, so providing clear evidence of hands-on mobile engineering will improve your chances.
