The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a React and Next.js AI Code Review Engineer to evaluate AI-generated frontend code, technical explanations, and frontend architectures. You will produce accurate reference implementations and model solutions while assessing correctness, clarity, accessibility, security, and performance.

The work covers modern React and Next.js development, including server-side rendering, static generation, incremental static regeneration, routing, data fetching, hydration, caching, and bundle optimization. You will also fact-check technical details and compare AI responses for reasoning quality and adherence to engineering best practices.

• Intermediate experience level
• Subject matter focus: React and Next.js code review
• Text-based AI training and evaluation work
• Prior AI training, annotation, or evaluation experience is a strong plus

What You’ll Do

You will apply practical frontend engineering experience to detailed review and content-generation tasks. Your feedback and reference work will help establish high-quality examples for AI training workflows.

• Review AI-generated React and Next.js code for correctness, readability, accessibility, security, and performance.
• Identify issues involving rendering behavior, state management, routing, data fetching, hydration, caching, and bundle efficiency.
• Write high-quality reference answers, explanations, and model solutions for advanced frontend problems.
• Compare multiple AI responses and judge reasoning quality, technical accuracy, and best practices.
• Fact-check technical details in AI-generated content.
• Help create prompt content across React and Next.js topics for AI training workflows.

Required Skills And Experience

This role requires strong professional React and Next.js experience, along with the ability to assess frontend implementations methodically and explain technical decisions clearly in English.

You should be comfortable reviewing production-quality web applications and identifying issues that affect users, maintainability, security, accessibility, and runtime performance.

• Strong React and Next.js knowledge, including hooks, component patterns, modern React patterns, and Next.js App Router concepts.
• Deep understanding of HTTP, browser rendering, security basics, cookies, sessions, and OAuth flows.
• Practical experience with testing and quality tools such as Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress, linting, and CI/CD.
• Experience with code review, performance optimization, accessibility, and clear technical writing in English.
• Ability to review frontend code methodically for correctness, accessibility, and security.

Helpful Background

• Experience with SSR, SSG, ISR, Server Components, middleware, caching, and deployment patterns.
