OpenTrain AI is seeking a Python Backend Developer to contribute to backend API development and AI model testing. You will work with REST and GraphQL services, data validation, database migrations, schema changes, security practices, and performance improvements.

What You’ll Do
You will combine hands-on Python backend development with structured evaluation of AI coding models in Cursor. Clear technical communication is central to the work: your reports and feedback will help identify issues and improve both model performance and the developer experience.
Design, develop, and optimize scalable REST and GraphQL endpoints.
Improve backend data validation, error handling, and API security practices.
Plan and execute database migrations, performance optimizations, and schema changes.
Test AI-powered coding models in Cursor using real coding workflows.
Document issues through incident reports, bug traces, and screenshots.
Share observations in Slack and complete detailed post-burst surveys.
