The Psychology Quality Assurance Lead Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Psychology Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across psychology-focused AI training projects. You will review AI-generated psychology explanations, mental-health content, research summaries, behavioral guidance, and theory applications.

The role requires careful evaluation of accuracy, ethical awareness, mental-health safety, diagnostic caution, clarity, formatting, instruction-following, and rubric adherence. You will also help maintain safe, research-informed, and appropriately cautious psychology outputs across remote expert teams.

What You’ll Do

You will combine psychology expertise with structured quality review. Your feedback will help trainers and quality teams apply project guidelines consistently while reducing unsupported, unsafe, or ethically problematic content.

  • Review psychology-focused AI content for quality and consistency
  • Evaluate trainer and QA work against detailed rubrics
  • Identify inaccurate, unsafe, unsupported, or insufficiently cautious claims
  • Assess mental-health safety, ethical awareness, and diagnostic caution
  • Provide clear written feedback and flag recurring issues
  • Communicate guideline and workflow updates to trainers and QAs
  • Support onboarding, documentation, calibration materials, and quality notes
  • Help maintain style guides and improve quality workflows

Required Qualifications

This intermediate-level role is designed for a psychology or closely related subject-matter expert who can assess nuanced content and communicate decisions clearly in English.

  • Strong background in psychology, clinical psychology, counseling, behavioral science, or a closely related field
  • Strong grasp of English for clear written communication
  • Experience with psychology research, mental-health content review, or related workflows
  • Ability to evaluate work against detailed rubrics
  • Ability to identify unsafe or unsupported claims
  • Familiarity with CBT, behavioral interventions, mental-health literacy, research design, statistics, and ethical guidelines is a plus
