Procurement and Vendor Management Task Design Expert

You will turn real procurement and vendor management workflows into difficult, realistic tasks for evaluating AI systems. The work involves creating source materials, writing clear instructions, and setting grading standards that qualified reviewers can apply consistently.

• Design multi-step tasks based on supplier assessments, bid comparisons, vendor risk analyses, and contract reviews.
• Create or source realistic RFP responses, pricing schedules, contracts, service-level agreements, and risk assessments.
• Define objective grading criteria so reviewers can reach consistent decisions.
• Build tasks that require judgment and interpretation of provided materials rather than simple information lookup.
• Identify tasks that are ambiguous or cannot be graded reliably before submission.
• Deliver approved tasks at the required quality level.

What it pays and takes

This is a remote, part-time contractor opportunity with flexible scheduling. Work is organized around individual benchmark-task assignments.

• Pay: $45 to $90 per hour, based on relevant experience and the assignment.
• Schedule: Less than 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
• Location: Remote; open to candidates across the specified countries in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
• Language: Strong written and spoken English at B2 level or higher is required; C1 is preferred.
• Experience: Five or more years of hands-on responsibility in procurement, sourcing, supplier assessment, or vendor management is strongly preferred.
• Required knowledge: Practical experience with supplier scorecards, weighted bid criteria, vendor risk frameworks, category strategies, or comparable structured evaluation standards.
• Relevant experience: Competitive bid processes, supplier evaluation, vendor contract or SLA reviews, vendor risk assessment, or supplier performance management.
• Working style: Able to work across contracts, spreadsheets, and reports at the same time.
• Helpful background: CIPS, CPSM, or an equivalent certification. Experience with AI or large language model evaluation is helpful but not required.
