About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. OpenTrain AI hires and contracts specialists for projects that help improve the quality, accuracy, and usefulness of modern artificial intelligence systems.

As an OpenTrain contractor, you can build experience in a fast-growing field while contributing to the development of AI tools used for writing, communication, and decision support.

  • Remote contract work with OpenTrain AI
  • Part-time project requiring 20+ hours per week
  • Compensation of $40-$70 USD per hour
  • Work available to qualified candidates in listed countries

About AI Training and Communications Review

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Expert reviewers assess model outputs, identify weaknesses, and create high-quality examples that teach systems how to communicate more clearly, accurately, and appropriately.

In this project, your PR and communications judgment will help models produce stronger public-facing writing across product launches, incident response, and policy change scenarios.

  • Evaluate AI-generated writing against expert standards
  • Compare responses for effectiveness, correctness, and reasoning quality
  • Provide precise written feedback that improves model performance
  • Create polished communications examples for training

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a PR and Communications AI Training Expert to review AI-generated public relations and communications outputs and produce expert-level content for model training. You will assess clarity, accuracy, tone, stakeholder fit, narrative coherence, media readiness, reputational risk, claims and compliance sensitivity, and crisis-response logic.

This is a short-term, hourly remote project for qualified PR and communications specialists. Contractors may review model outputs, create gold-standard rewrites, and apply professional judgment to a range of communications tasks.

  • Role type: Part-time contractor
  • Time requirement: 20+ hours per week
  • Data type: Text
  • Primary tasks: Evaluation, rating, and text generation
  • Language requirement: Minimum C1 English proficiency

What You'll Do

You will combine communications strategy, editorial judgment, and risk awareness to evaluate and improve AI-generated content. Your feedback should clearly explain what works, what does not, and how the response should change.

  • Review AI-generated PR and communications outputs for clarity, accuracy, tone, stakeholder fit, and prompt adherence
  • Identify issues in narrative coherence, positioning, media readiness, reputational risk, claims compliance, and crisis-response logic
  • Fact-check statements where needed and explain recommended changes
  • Write gold-standard press releases, statements, FAQs, media pitches, and communications plans
  • Rate and compare multiple responses based on effectiveness, correctness, and reasoning quality
  • Rewrite AI-generated communications into polished, publication-ready examples
  • Evaluate product launch, incident response, and policy change communications

Requirements

Applicants should have substantial professional experience in PR or communications and be comfortable making detailed judgments about message quality, defensibility, stakeholder expectations, and reputational risk.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of professional PR or communications experience in an agency or in-house setting
  • Strong command of message development, proof points, objection handling, Q&A frameworks, and tone control
  • Experience producing press releases, media pitches, bylines, statements, talking points, internal communications, or executive notes
  • Ability to evaluate communications for accuracy, defensibility, risk, and crisis sensitivity
  • Strong editing and quality assurance skills
  • Minimum C1 English proficiency
  • Prior experience with AI data training, editorial QA, newsroom workflows, or communications review is strongly preferred
