About AI Training and Image Annotation
AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Contributors prepare and review examples, such as annotated images and screenshots, so AI systems can recognize objects, interpret instructions, and respond more accurately.
Work with visual data used to improve AI systems
Flexible work that can fit around other commitments
Many projects are accessible without prior professional experience
The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking an entry-level image annotator to create polygon annotations for approximately 1,000 video game screenshots. Each screenshot presents an objective that requires clicking on an object, such as a door in a house and garden scene.
You will use the written objective to identify the correct target and draw a polygon covering all acceptable points where a player could click to complete that objective. The labeling software for this project is Labelbox.
Project data: video game screenshots
Annotation type: polygons
Example objective: click on the door
Estimated volume: about 1,000 images
Workload: less than 20 hours per week
What You'll Do
Your annotations will help represent the full clickable area of an object rather than only a single point. Accuracy and careful attention to the image and accompanying instruction are important for producing useful training data.
Review each screenshot and its click objective
Locate the object that fulfills the objective
Draw a polygon around the object
Include all acceptable points where the user could click
Complete annotations in Labelbox
Requirements
This is an entry-level project. No specific skills or prior experience are listed as required. Experience playing video games may be helpful when interpreting objectives and recognizing how clickable areas work.
English language ability
Comfort reviewing video game screenshots
Ability to follow click-based instructions carefully
Video game experience helpful but not required
Available for less than 20 hours per week
Compensation and Work Arrangement
This opportunity is offered as part-time contract work through OpenTrain AI. The project is remote and available worldwide.
