The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting Physics Professors and Researchers to create and review physics problems, evaluate model outputs for scientific accuracy and pedagogical quality, and refine AI-generated explanations. This is a remote contractor role that focuses on text tasks: evaluation ratings and text generation/editing.
Employment type: Contractor, part-time.

What You'll Do
Develop and review physics problems, worked solutions, and explanatory content across physics sub-disciplines.
Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific validity, logical correctness, clarity, and educational value.
Refine and edit model explanations for accuracy, completeness, and pedagogical effectiveness.
Provide high-level feedback on complex research topics, theoretical concepts, and problem-solving approaches.
Help standardize content-review best practices and collaborate with project leads and fellow experts.
Produce concise, constructive written feedback in an asynchronous workflow.
Requirements
PhD in Physics, or active PhD candidacy with substantial research and teaching experience.
Strong expertise in theoretical and applied physics and comfort across sub-disciplines.
Experience teaching, developing curriculum, mentoring students, or reviewing scientific research.
Proven ability to evaluate technical writing for scientific validity, clarity, and educational value.
Excellent written communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in async remote settings.
