The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking an Operations Management AI Evaluation Expert to create high-quality training and evaluation data for frontier AI models. You will turn operational knowledge into practical tasks involving process improvement, resource scheduling, workflow optimization, and performance management.

This is a remote, part-time contractor opportunity requiring 20+ hours per week. The work is conducted in English and is open worldwide.

What You'll Do

You will design realistic operations-management challenges and define the standards used to evaluate AI-generated responses. Your work will combine operational judgment, written communication, and careful quality review.

• Create expert-level operational tasks and gold-standard solutions covering process design, scheduling, and performance management.
• Write realistic corporate scenarios involving workflow mapping, capacity planning, shift and resource scheduling, and bottleneck resolution.
• Apply grading frameworks and rubrics to assess operational responses consistently.
• Review scenarios, logistics data, and business workflows for realism, logical consistency, technical accuracy, and solvability.
• Use calibration feedback to refine task designs and meet project guidelines, quality benchmarks, and milestones.

Required Qualifications

You should bring approximately 3–8 years of hands-on experience in operations management, business operations, or a closely related field. The project is marked as entry level in the opportunity data, but the role description requires this practical experience.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field is required. Previous AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or another analytical role is helpful but not required.

• Experience with process improvement methods such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Practical knowledge of capacity planning, scheduling, bottleneck resolution, and operational performance tracking.
• Ability to create process maps, standard operating procedures, resource schedules, and KPI or OKR dashboards.
• Strong analytical judgment for evaluating workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and mapping effective resource allocations.
• Excellent written communication for developing corporate scenarios, operational prompts, and structured evaluation rubrics.
• Careful, independent work habits and the ability to incorporate feedback.
