The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Nurse Subject Matter Expert to review AI-generated nursing and clinical-care responses. You will assess clinical reasoning, triage, escalation, medication safety, patient education, infection control, and care planning, then provide precise written feedback and gold-standard explanations when needed.
The role also involves rating and comparing multiple AI responses for correctness, clarity, contextual relevance, and adherence to the prompt. This is hourly remote contractor work for an expert contributor available at least 20 hours per week.

What You'll Do
You will apply professional nursing judgment to determine whether AI-generated content is clinically sound, safe, and appropriately explained. Your work will help distinguish reliable nursing guidance from responses that contain errors, omissions, weak reasoning, or unsafe recommendations.
Review AI-generated nursing and clinical-care answers for accuracy, safety, and clarity
Identify errors in assessment, triage, escalation, medication safety, patient education, infection control, and care planning
Fact-check healthcare information and explain correct nursing reasoning
Write high-quality model answers and expert healthcare content across nursing topics
Compare multiple responses and judge which is safer and more correct
Check internal consistency in timelines, symptoms, monitoring frequency, and nursing-level dosing logic
Requirements
This role requires an RN or equivalent nursing qualification with active licensure, registration, or eligibility in at least one jurisdiction. Candidates should bring substantial clinical experience and be comfortable making nursing-level judgments about assessment, prioritization, handoffs, triage, and escalation.
A minimum C1 level of English proficiency is required for reviewing nuanced clinical content and writing clear expert feedback.
RN or equivalent nursing credential with active licensure, registration, or eligibility
3 to 5+ years of professional nursing experience in a clinical or community setting
Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and handoff skills
Solid understanding of common disease processes and nursing interventions across acute and outpatient settings
Clinical assessment, triage, and escalation judgment at the nursing level
Experience with medication safety, infection control, and patient education
Ability to fact-check AI-generated clinical content for safety and correctness
Preferred Background
Experience working at the intersection of healthcare content and quality review is strongly preferred. Familiarity with structured clinical communication and careful review of patient-care details will help you evaluate whether model responses are internally consistent and clinically appropriate.
