The Role

OpenTrain AI is looking for native German speakers to record natural role-play dialogues with a partner. You will act as a friendly, professional agent while discussing six real-life topics: banking, telecommunications, insurance, hospital situations, travel, and retail.

The project is planned for 200 participants organized into 100 pairs or groups. Each topic requires a 20-minute recording, for more than 2.3 hours of total recording time per pair. The project includes an $85 fixed-price payment.

What You'll Do

You will pair with another participant and hold realistic conversations based on the assigned topics. Each person must record only their own voice while participating in the conversation through Zoom.

• Record one 20-minute conversation for each of six topics
• Speak naturally and maintain a smooth conversational flow
• Perform the role of a friendly and professional agent
• Use Zoom for the conversation
• Record your own voice separately on a phone
• Use a phone recording format of 44.1 kHz and 16 bit
• Keep the recording free of background noise
• Avoid stuttering and long pauses
• Use a headset so the phone does not capture the other speaker

Recording Quality Standards

All submitted recordings will be checked for quality and compliance with the project requirements. Recordings should sound natural, remain focused on the assigned topic, and meet the required duration.

Requirements

Applicants must be native German speakers who can perform professional, friendly role-play conversations. You must also have the equipment and connectivity needed to make clear recordings.

• Headset
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• A computer science degree is preferred
• Three to five years of prior experience in this field is preferred

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is suited to expert-level German speakers who are comfortable with structured role-play and careful audio recording. The project seeks balanced participation across age groups and approximately equal participation from men and women.
