About AI Training Work
AI training is the human side of building modern artificial intelligence. Specialists write examples, review model responses, and evaluate technical outputs so AI systems become more accurate, reliable, and useful. In this project, your n8n expertise will help models learn how to create and troubleshoot advanced automation pipelines.
- Work directly with prompts, model responses, and evaluation criteria
- Apply real technical judgment to improve AI-generated workflows
- Contribute to a fast-growing field shaping how AI systems are built
The Role
As an n8n Workflow Developer and AI Trainer, you will work with text datasets focused on self-hosted workflow automation and integrations. You will help train and evaluate AI systems that design complex n8n pipelines involving multiple services, APIs, data transformations, web scraping, and AI-powered processing.
The role is intended for an intermediate-level contributor with proven hands-on n8n experience, including self-hosted setup and maintenance. You should be comfortable working independently in a flexible, non-permanent project engagement and communicating in written English at B2 level or higher.
- Data type: Text
- Primary focus: Self-hosted workflow automation and integrations
- Workload: 20+ hours per week
- Location: Global, subject to the restricted locations listed below
What You'll Do
You will create realistic prompts and assess whether AI-generated n8n workflows are technically sound, resilient, and fit for purpose. Assignments may involve content automation, lead generation and outreach, or web scraping pipelines with dependable extraction and processing.
- Write prompts requiring robust n8n workflow design, including nodes and execution patterns
- Evaluate and rate multi-step automation pipelines against defined criteria
- Improve AI outputs for reliability, scalability, sequencing, and performance
- Review error handling, retries, data parsing, logging, and alerting approaches
- Assess rate-limit handling, batching, timeouts, deduplication, and idempotency
- Work with APIs, webhooks, OAuth or API keys, and multi-application integrations
- Review JSON, CSV, and HTML parsing, validation, normalization, and data mapping
- Evaluate web scraping workflows using tools such as Apify or similar services
- Assess LLM calls, enrichment steps, and AI-powered content pipelines when relevant
- Evaluate LLM outputs for legal reasoning quality when assigned
Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate practical experience building advanced n8n automations, especially in self-hosted environments. A portfolio or written examples of scalable automations or end-to-end workflows are preferred. Your CV must be in English and include your English proficiency level, email address, and phone number.
- Proven hands-on n8n experience, including self-hosted setup and maintenance
- Experience with Docker, environment variables, credentials, and basic operations
- Ability to build complex multi-app automation pipelines
- Strong understanding of n8n nodes, workflow logic, execution modes, and failed-run troubleshooting
- Ability to design resilient workflows with retries, error branches, logging, alerting, deduplication, and idempotency
- Knowledge of API constraints, rate limits, batching, and workflow optimization
- Web scraping experience covering extraction accuracy, parsing, and structured or unstructured data
- Experience processing and transforming JSON, CSV, or HTML data
- Conversational English is required; written English should be B2 or higher
- Hands-on text annotation, evaluation, or rubric-based quality assurance experience
- Familiarity with AI integrations in automation pipelines is a strong plus
- Comfort working independently in flexible, project-based contractor engagements
