About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the #1 platform for people who build careers in AI training and data labeling. We help freelancers find specialized projects, track opportunities across platforms, and build a unified portfolio of AI training work.
- Find and grow a career teaching AI through annotation, transcription, and evaluation projects.
- Work remotely, build a track record, and apply to new projects in minutes.
Why AI training matters
AI training (data labeling/annotation) is the human work that teaches models how to understand speech, images, text, and code. Contributors shape how real-world systems behave and get paid for flexible, remote work.
Many projects need language skills and careful listening rather than prior AI engineering experience, so this is a practical way to move into the industry.
- Flexible, remote, often part-time work you can do from anywhere.
- Entry-level opportunities are common; specialist skills (like linguistic expertise) are valued and can command higher pay.
