The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Malayalam-speaking music evaluation expert to assess AI-generated music across genres. You will rate audio quality, identify musical characteristics, and review lyrics and vocals, providing domain-specific feedback that supports the improvement of generative music AI models.

• Remote, global contract opportunity
• Approximately 20 hours per week on average
• Flexible schedule with work available for up to 6 months
• $15 per hour
• Part-time contractor engagement

What You'll Do

You will listen critically to AI-generated songs, compare outputs, and apply detailed evaluation criteria. The work may include classification, rating, and reviewing lyrics or vocal content against reference material.

• Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head
• Evaluate musicality, creativity, and adherence to prompts
• Assess vocal quality and production or mix quality
• Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, and vocals
• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals for accuracy against reference material

Required Qualifications

This role requires professional music experience, strong Malayalam language ability, and equipment suitable for detailed audio evaluation. You must also be comfortable following detailed written instructions in English.

• Native or near-native proficiency in Malayalam
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English
• At least 2 years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening
