About AI training work

The role

You will work on analytical content review and LLM training tasks in Malay and English. The core focus is reading long or complex text, breaking it into logical blocks, researching claims, creating question-and-answer training items, and providing clear explanations and annotations to improve model performance.

• Analyze complex content and break it into smaller logical blocks for model training.
• Research and validate factual claims using online sources.
• Create Q&A scenarios and supply correct answers with explanations to teach LLMs.
• Provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations to support fine-tuning.
• Work primarily with textual data and label types such as EVALUATION_RATING, RLHF, TEXT_SUMMARIZATION, and QUESTION_ANSWERING.

Requirements

• Fluent in Malay (ms) and English (en); both languages are mandatory.
• Strong analytical ability, logical reasoning, and comfort with puzzle-style tasks.
• Excellent English comprehension for reading and summarizing complex content.
• Solid research skills: able to validate factual statements using reputable online sources.
• Good written communication and experience giving clear, constructive feedback.
• Comfort using Excel and Google Suite; able to interpret simple data and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to work independently in a remote contractor setting.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome; the role is suitable for applicants with limited formal experience in AI labeling.

Helpful background

• Experience as a business analyst, research analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, or translator is an advantage.
• Undergraduate background or degree in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field can help.
• A contractor mindset: comfortable with remote, freelance-style assignments and flexible schedules.

Work setup & schedule

This is a remote contractor assignment with flexible hours. The role is scoped for a full 40-hour workweek but is listed with a minimum expectation of 20+ hours/week; availability to cover the stated schedule is required. Expect some overlap with US hours, especially America/Los_Angeles, for team check-ins or handoffs.
