The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking an intermediate, experienced Low-Code Developer specializing in automation and JavaScript. You will help train and evaluate AI systems on complex automation and workflow logic tasks.

The work includes designing, building, and reviewing advanced workflows in Make.com or n8n, then using custom JavaScript for advanced logic, error handling, and performance optimization. You will also assess AI-generated solutions, evaluate legal reasoning quality in language model outputs, and strengthen integrations across multiple systems.

This is a part-time contractor opportunity requiring 20 or more hours per week. Compensation ranges from $15 to $45 USD per hour.

What You'll Do

You will create and assess multi-step prompts and responses, review AI-generated automation and coding solutions, and contribute text annotation and rubric-based evaluation. Your work will help improve the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of AI-assisted business process automation.

Projects may involve multi-app workflow designs, API and webhook integrations, authentication, rate-limit management, robust error handling, and performance optimization.

  • Design and build advanced workflows with Make.com and/or n8n
  • Write custom JavaScript for complex logic and workflow behavior
  • Evaluate LLM outputs for legal reasoning quality
  • Create and review multi-step prompts and responses
  • Annotate and evaluate text using rubrics and quality assurance practices
  • Implement reliability features and advanced error handling
  • Integrate APIs and webhooks while managing authentication and rate limits
  • Optimize multi-app automations for performance, scalability, and efficiency
  • Review coding, fine-tuning, function-calling, and RLHF-related outputs

Requirements

Applicants should bring hands-on production experience with low-code automation platforms and practical JavaScript development. Experience evaluating AI outputs, annotating text, or performing rubric-based QA is also required.
