We hire and manage AI-training work directly: when you join a role with OpenTrain, you’re joining teams that build the human side of modern AI systems.
Why AI training work matters
AI models learn from human examples and judgments. Labeling, evaluating, and coordinating contributors are essential to making LLMs reliable and useful. These roles are remote, flexible, and a direct way to influence how state-of-the-art systems behave.
This role sits at the operational center of LLM browsing workflows: you’ll make sure contributor work is consistent, high-quality, and delivered on time.
The role
OpenTrain is hiring an Expert Project Manager to run projects focused on advancing LLM browsing capabilities. You will oversee project execution, review annotator quality, maintain organized tracking in Google Sheets, and manage contributor communications to keep workflows moving smoothly.
Work type: contractor, part-time (20+ hours/week). Pay: $50–$60 USD per hour. Tasks center on operational oversight, quality review (evaluation/rating of document-centered tasks), and contributor coordination.
What you'll do
Track project and annotator performance using Google Sheets and maintain clear records.
Review annotator quality, perform consistency checks, and surface issues early.
Handle contributor communications and day-to-day coordination to keep work on schedule.
Own unfamiliar operational problems from start to finish and use good judgment to resolve them.
Support efficient project execution across LLM browsing workflows and collaborate with contributors to maintain reliability.
Work with evaluation/rating tasks on document data and ensure quality standards are met.
Requirements
You must be comfortable working independently, managing ambiguous operational problems, and carrying tasks through to completion. Strong written communication, attention to detail, and high agency are essential.
Experience tracking annotator or reviewer performance in spreadsheets (Google Sheets).
Familiarity with annotator quality review, consistency checks, and evaluation/rating workflows.
Ops or project management background preferred but not required.
Comfort working on LLM training or model-quality projects.
Who should apply
Apply if you enjoy coordinating distributed contributors, improving review quality, and keeping complex projects organized. This is a great fit for experienced coordinators, junior PMs, or ops specialists who want hands-on work in LLM model-quality efforts.
The role is worldwide and remote; English fluency is required. Typical commitment is 20+ hours per week on a contractor, part-time basis.
How to apply
