The role

We are recruiting Korean–English Video Transcription & Translation Specialists to produce high-quality bilingual transcriptions, translations, and linguistic analyses for AI projects. This is a contract, part-time role done remotely using the project's assigned transcription tools (labeling software listed as 'OTHER').

• Deliver precise time-stamped transcriptions and translations between Korean and English.
• Analyze speaker tone, intent, and emotional nuance; clarify complex terminology.
• Perform quality checks on grammatical, syntactic, and contextual accuracy.

What you'll do

Your daily work will focus on converting video content into accurate, contextualized bilingual text and annotations that AI systems can learn from. Tasks are varied and may evolve with project needs.

• Transcribe spoken Korean and English from video with detailed time-stamping.
• Translate content precisely between Korean and English, preserving tone and nuance.
• Annotate emotional tone, speaker intent, and contextual cues.
• Evaluate and verify linguistic accuracy across both languages.
• Interpret and clarify specialized or nuanced terminology for consistent labeling.

Requirements

You must meet the core language and skill requirements listed below to ensure high-quality deliverables for multilingual AI training.

• Fluency in written and spoken Korean and English.
• Proven experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic analysis for Korean–English content.
• Ability to discern emotional nuances, speaker intent, and tone across diverse content.
• Strong attention to grammatical detail, linguistic structure, and contextual accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; consistent record of meeting deadlines.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear communication.

Helpful background

These qualifications are not required but will strengthen your application and may give access to more advanced tasks.

• Academic background or degree in linguistics, translation, communications, or a related field.
• Experience with complex language and multimedia content analysis projects.
• Familiarity with digital transcription software and language tools.

Workload, pay, and how to apply

This contract role requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week and is typically under 20 hours/week. The position is part-time, remote, and ongoing for contributors who meet quality standards.

Pay is hourly (PAY_PER_HOUR) with a published range of $20–$65 USD per hour, with top compensation noted at $65/hr. You will work on video data and perform transcription, translation/localization, and evaluation/rating tasks.
