The role: Kannada AI Response Evaluation Expert

OpenTrain AI is hiring contractors to evaluate AI-generated responses in Kannada. This part-time role typically requires 20+ hours per week, is fully remote and worldwide, and is paid hourly. OpenTrain AI is the hiring and contracting organization for this role.

• Contract type: Part-time contractor.
• Time commitment: 20+ hours/week.
• Compensation: $15–$20 USD per hour.

What you'll do

You will review and rate Kannada model outputs against guidelines, produce structured evaluation artifacts, and write clear feedback that helps engineers and researchers improve model behavior.

• Assess Kannada responses for factual accuracy, reasoning quality, clarity, tone, and completeness.
• Compare multiple model outputs and make fine-grained qualitative judgments.
• Identify strengths and areas for improvement and generate high-quality human evaluation data.
• Ensure responses align with expected conversational behavior and system guidelines.
• Produce consistent, reproducible evaluation artifacts and written feedback in English.

Minimum requirements

Candidates must meet the core qualifications below to be considered.

• Native or bilingual fluency in Kannada and strong proficiency in English.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Significant hands-on experience using large language models (LLMs).
• Excellent English writing skills to articulate nuanced feedback.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot subtle issues.
• Background in structured analytical thinking (research, policy, analytics, linguistics, engineering, etc.).
• Experience comparing outputs and making detailed qualitative evaluations.

Helpful experience

The following are not required but will make your application stronger.

• Prior RLHF, model evaluation, or data annotation experience.
• Experience writing or editing high-quality written content.
