In this role, your notebook demonstrations will show AI models how people prepare data, analyze results, document code, troubleshoot issues, and produce clear, reproducible outputs.

The Role

OpenTrain is hiring a Jupyter Notebook Data Workflow Specialist to create realistic computer-based tasks that teach advanced AI models how people complete notebook-based coding and data-analysis workflows. You will work with Jupyter Notebook or JupyterLab, Python, pandas, data preparation, visualization, notebook documentation, and quality review.

This is an entry-level, remote contractor opportunity with part-time work available for contributors in Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. The expected time commitment is 20 or more hours per week, and contributors may work across time zones.

What You'll Do

You will design and document complete notebook workflows that are practical, understandable, and reproducible. Your work should reflect realistic data-analysis, coding, education, research, reporting, or technical documentation scenarios.

• Create realistic and challenging notebook tasks for practical workflows.
• Prepare notebooks, files, datasets, packages, references, and local or browser-based environments before recording.
• Execute and record Python cells, markdown explanations, data cleaning, exploratory analysis, charts, debugging, imports, file handling, outputs, and exports.
• Document task goals, steps, files, dataset details, context, and notes for another reviewer.
• Review recordings and documentation for completeness, clarity, reproducibility, realism, and alignment with project guidelines.
• Produce clear, complete screen recordings in English.

Required Skills

You should have hands-on experience using Jupyter Notebook or JupyterLab for Python and data-analysis workflows. Strong attention to detail, reliable self-direction, and consistent quality are important for successful remote work.

• Understand code cells, markdown cells, execution order, kernels, imports, file paths, packages, outputs, and exports.
• Use pandas for data cleaning, mixed data types, missing values, joins, and file parsing.
• Select effective visualizations and organize markdown-based analysis clearly.
• Create realistic notebook tasks and explain assumptions, goals, and expected workflows.
• Manage files, install packages, and work in browser-based or local environments.
• Communicate clearly in English at B2 level or higher.

Helpful Background

Additional experience in Python, data analysis, machine learning, statistics, research, teaching, coding, reporting, or related computer-based workflows can help you create varied and credible notebook demonstrations.

• Experience preparing educational or research notebooks
