The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Javanese language expert to support AI training through translation, localization, linguistic review, and language quality assurance. Work is remote, contract, and part‑time.

Data handled is primarily text; label tasks include translation/localization and evaluation/rating. This is an entry‑level friendly role that requires native Javanese fluency and strong English communication.

What You'll Do

• Translate and localize documents, UI copy, and other written content to and from Javanese.
• Review language quality and ensure accurate, natural Javanese usage across dialects and contexts.
• Edit, proofread, and refine materials for clarity, tone, and cultural appropriateness.
• Support glossary creation, style guide development, and maintain terminology consistency.
• Evaluate and rate model outputs or human-written responses for correctness and quality.
• Collaborate remotely with global teammates and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Prior experience supporting language or localization initiatives.
• Familiarity with project management tools, agile workflows, or language software (labeling platform listed as Other).

Compensation, Logistics & Details

Compensation: paid per hour in USD. Hourly range for this role is $45–$95 USD (PAY_PER_HOUR). OpenTrain lists a top rate up to $95/hr.

Employment type: contractor, part‑time. Work is remote and open worldwide; you must be comfortable working independently and collaborating across time zones.
