The Role
As a Japanese Music AI Evaluator, you will assess generative music models through structured listening and expert feedback. You will evaluate AI-generated songs, lyrics, and vocals against detailed quality standards across contemporary genres.
The project is listed at an entry level, but it requires at least two years of professional experience in music production, audio engineering, or mixing engineering. Most contractors work around 20 hours per week, with no stated cap, for up to six months.

What You'll Do
You will apply consistent musical and technical judgment while following detailed instructions in Japanese and English. Critical listening will be central to reviewing the quality, accuracy, and performance of generated audio.
Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head.
Assess musicality, creativity, and adherence to prompts.
Evaluate vocal quality and performance.
Review production and mix quality.
Classify songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics.
Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy.
Use headphones or studio monitors for detailed critical listening.
Requirements
This role is designed for someone with strong Japanese proficiency, professional audio experience, and the ability to make detailed evaluations of music and vocal performance.
Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese.
Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English.
At least two years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer.
Critical listening ability using suitable headphones or studio monitors.
Ability to evaluate musicality, vocal quality, and production or mix quality.
