The role

We are recruiting Italian Language Experts to review and produce high-quality Italian audio and text data for AI systems. This is an entry-level, remote contractor role that typically requires 20+ hours per week and pays on a per-task basis (effective range $15–$30 USD/hour).

What you'll do

• Review and correct machine-generated Italian transcriptions for accuracy and natural flow
• Record clear, professional-quality audio of yourself reading provided or corrected text
• Produce precise transcriptions and captions for Italian audio content
• Rate and evaluate existing transcriptions or model outputs for quality and fidelity
• Provide feedback on linguistic and phonetic accuracy to help improve models
• Maintain a quiet recording environment and follow project audio guidelines

Requirements

You must be fluent in Italian and able to deliver excellent pronunciation, intonation, and natural phrasing. This role emphasizes attention to detail and consistent, high-quality output.

• Fluent proficiency in Italian with excellent pronunciation and intonation
• Experience in voice acting, language instruction, linguistics, or similar fields
• Background in transcription, captioning, or language data processing
• Access to reliable audio recording equipment (standard laptop microphone acceptable)
• Ability to work remotely, independently, and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Helpful background (not required)

• Previous experience with AI training data or annotation projects
• Education or work in linguistics, translation, or audio engineering
• Experience collaborating in multilingual, multicultural teams

Pay, schedule, and how it works

Pay is task-based and typically corresponds to an effective hourly rate between $15 and $30 USD depending on task type and your speed and accuracy. Projects are flexible; this role expects roughly 20+ hours/week but allows you to manage your own schedule as a contractor.

You will be given project instructions, access to the labeling platform, and examples. Submit recordings and transcriptions through the provided workflow and receive per-task payments after review.
