The Role
OpenTrain is seeking an Investment Review Lead to provide senior investment judgment across a project involving both public securities and private-company work. You will establish the investment framework and analytical approach, assess recommendations against institutional standards, and communicate conclusions clearly to senior stakeholders.

What You'll Do
You will guide the review of investment analyses and help ensure proposed actions are commercially sound, well supported, and ready for implementation. The work calls for careful reasoning, strong written communication, and the confidence to challenge assumptions.
Provide senior investment judgment across public securities and private-company work
Establish the investment framework and analytical approach
Review valuations, portfolio analysis, asset-allocation recommendations, and investment-policy considerations
Challenge assumptions and identify investment risks
Guide the development of recommendations and assess whether actions are commercially sound and implementation-ready
Review financial models, investment analyses, and presentation materials produced by other team members
Provide structured feedback on analytical and presentation materials
Communicate investment conclusions clearly and authoritatively to senior stakeholders
Required Qualifications
This role requires substantial professional investment experience and senior-level judgment. Candidates should be comfortable having their conclusions reviewed and challenged while defending rigorous, commercially minded recommendations.
Approximately 12–15 or more years of professional investment experience
Senior experience within a multi-family office, private equity firm, hedge fund, investment office, investment bank, or comparable institutional investment platform
Experience in a senior position such as Chief Investment Officer, Managing Director, Investment Director, Head of Investments, or Senior Portfolio Manager
Strong understanding of both public markets and private-company investing
Expertise in portfolio construction, investment analysis, valuation, asset allocation, and risk management
Exceptionally strong written communication
Ability to explain complex investment judgments clearly
Detail-oriented and commercially minded approach
Comfort with having investment conclusions reviewed and challenged
Helpful Background and How to Apply
