About AI Training And Visual Data Annotation

AI systems learn from examples prepared and reviewed by people. In visual data annotation, contributors label images and video so computer vision systems can recognize objects, understand actions, and interpret events more accurately.

This work is part of a fast-growing technology field and can be accessible to people without prior AI experience. Careful visual review, consistent judgment, and strong attention to detail are central to producing useful training data.

  • Support the human side of building artificial intelligence
  • Work with images, video footage, and frame-by-frame content
  • Contribute to datasets used in AI and computer vision projects

The Role

As an Image and Video Annotation Specialist, you will review, label, and annotate visual content for an AI data project. You will identify relevant objects, actions, events, and other visual details while applying project-specific grading and annotation guidelines.

No prior AI experience is required. Experience with image or video annotation, data labeling, visual content review, or similar data-focused work is highly valued. The role is suitable for entry-level contributors who can maintain accuracy across large volumes of visual data.

  • Employment type: Contractor
  • Work arrangement: Remote

  • Data type: Video and image content
  • Subject area: AI computer vision and visual data annotation

What You'll Do

You will use image and video annotation platforms to create accurate labels, tags, classifications, and structured observations. Some assignments may require reviewing footage frame by frame to identify important actions or changes.

You will also document unclear or ambiguous content, communicate task-related observations, and work with project trainers and other contributors to maintain consistency across datasets.

  • Review images and video footage for objects, actions, events, and visual details
  • Apply detailed annotation and grading guidelines consistently

Requirements And Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience is helpful but not required for AI work. Familiarity with annotation tools, video labeling workflows, AI training, machine learning data preparation, computer vision, robotics, or similar projects is a strong plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small visual differences or changes
  • Ability to follow detailed guidelines accurately and consistently
