The role

As a Human Labeling Analyst / Data Annotation Specialist you will manually verify and annotate structured company attributes for individual company records. This is careful, research-driven work: you will read primary and secondary sources, correct mistakes, add missing fields, and highlight verified values in Excel. No automation, scripts, or AI tools are permitted — everything is human verification and manual annotation.

What you'll do

You will inspect each company record and confirm or update specific attributes using open sources such as official registries, company websites, LinkedIn, and news articles. For every verified value you must highlight it in the provided Excel file and add a short English note documenting your sources and reasoning.

• Verify company name, legal jurisdiction, and official website.
• Identify directors, shareholders, and other listed officers where available.
• Estimate and record revenue range when reliably documented.
• Record payment types accepted (online/offline) based on public evidence.
• Correct mistakes and populate missing fields with traceable sources.
• Highlight verified values in Excel and write brief notes explaining your findings.

Requirements

This is an intermediate-level annotation role that emphasizes research ability, accuracy, and clear documentation. All requirements below come from the project brief and must be met.

• Strong online research skills and persistence — you keep searching until reasonable sources are exhausted.
• Broad general knowledge of how businesses operate, including what legal entities and revenues represent.
• Critical thinking and intellectual curiosity; you do not guess and will study unfamiliar topics before labeling.
• High accuracy and attention to detail to ensure clean, factual, traceable data.
• Comfortable writing short notes in English to document sources and reasoning.
• No use of automation or AI tools — all verification must be manual.
