The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Japan-based contractor to capture video demonstrations of everyday household activities in a Japanese home. You will perform natural, precise hand movements while using a wearable UMI gripper, VR headset, hand-tracking gloves, and recording equipment.

This entry-level, part-time contract role requires careful physical execution, reliable recording practices, and consistent adherence to detailed project specifications. The expected time commitment is 20+ hours per week.

What You'll Do

You will create and submit specification-compliant video data of common household activities. You will also operate specialized equipment, check your recordings, respond to quality feedback, and maintain a dependable workflow throughout the project.

• Capture high-quality videos of everyday household tasks in a Japanese home.
• Set up and operate the wearable UMI gripper, VR headset, hand-tracking gloves, and recording equipment.
• Perform natural hand movements and precise physical tasks during varied household activities.
• Follow task-specific instructions and verify that recordings meet project quality standards.
• Review feedback and improve your recording methods and submitted video footage.
• Upload large video files using stable, high-speed home internet.
• Communicate clearly with the project team in writing and verbally.
