You will apply review guidelines consistently and explain your findings clearly so that clinical data quality and AI model performance can improve.
- Review FHIR data, clinical notes, claims, and inpatient medical records.
- Check whether clinical information and claims are supported by the medical record.
- Evaluate the history of present illness, past medical history, assessments, and plans.
- Find missing information, errors, documentation gaps, and inconsistencies.
- Apply clear standards across inpatient materials and communicate feedback clearly.

This is remote contractor work with flexible scheduling. The role requires strong inpatient documentation knowledge and careful review of clinical records and structured data.

- Required education: MD or DO degree.
- Required certification: Board certification in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Hospital Medicine.
- Required experience: Current or recent inpatient or hospitalist experience within the last two years.
- You should be comfortable reviewing clinical notes and raw medical record data, understanding hospital workflows, and applying review standards consistently.
- Helpful experience includes chart review, clinical documentation improvement, utilization review, medical coding, quality assurance, or work across multiple inpatient services and specialties.
- Familiarity with FHIR records and structured clinical information is relevant to the work.
